 Experts from Beijing Visit HUAT

Recently, an expert team from Beijing visited HUAT. The team consists of experts in different areas such as Mr. Tang Linshen, deputy chief engineer of Beijing Automotive Engineering Research Institute, Mr. Xi Yuling, chief director of BAIC Group (Beijing Automotive Group Co., Lted.) and Mr. Zhou Li, director of industry ally management etc. The welcome meeting was presided by vice present Mr. Zhang Youbin.

 

Zhang Youbing, on behalf of the school, made a welcome speech to the guests, introducing briefly the general situation of the school, including characteristics and achievements, innovation and development. Dr. Zhou Xueliang from school of mechanical engineering, Mr. Wang Min from school of material science and engineering, and Mr. Liu Chengwu, vice dean of school automotive engineering also made reports about their schools. 


At the meeting, the two sides also watched the school propaganda film. Experts spoke highly of the school's features, professional settings and achievements in international formula racing. After having general information about the school, the experts exchange their opinions with the participants about how to carry out cooperation related to production, learning and research, how to improve students’ professional qualifications and how to combine theory with practice etc. They also answered questions and offered many valuable comments and suggestions.

 

Zhang Youbing summed up in his concluding speech that what the experts said offered not only research direction in the field of automobiles and brought advanced ideas of international frontier, but also new ways for teachers engaged in teaching and research, all of which is the right purpose of talent exchange and cooperation. He also said that the two sides should cherish the opportunity to understand each other, establish long-term contacts and make it a routine to exchange opinions about new technology.
