On the afternoon of September 16th, President Zhong Yuning held a talk with professor Ursula Mannle, chairman of Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) and other members of the Foundation, Mr. Alexander Birle, resident representative in Beijing, and Mr. Josef Bremberger, director of West China Project. Mr. Wang Zhen, dean of School of Science and Technology and Ms. Ma Xun, director of international office also attended the meeting.
President Zhong first expressed his warm welcome and then gave a general introduction of HUAT, focusing on the running features and some of the achievements in the field of research and cooperation between HUAT and enterprises. He also gave an affirmative comment on the cooperation with HSF in the field of dual education in the past 13 years and expressed his hope to deepen the cooperation in the field of dual education with the help of HSF so as to learn more about the education of practical talents and improve HUAT’s level of research, social service and teaching quality.
Professor Mannle introduced the characteristics and advantages of German dual system of education, the effort Germany had made in the cooperation of dual education and also expressed her hope to continue such cooperation.
