An annual report on the quality of employment of the graduates of universities and colleges in Hubei has been published recently. According to the statistic revealed in the report, the employment rate of graduates of HUAT comes to the top list again in 2017. 2180 graduates have been employed which amount to 95.15 % of all the graduates. Most of these graduates have their employment in Hubei Province, which accounts for 41.15% of all. The most popular jobs go to manufacturing industry and industries related to computer science and technology, which account for more than 55%.
HUAT had 2291 graduates in 2017, including 2268 undergraduates and 23 postgraduates. In order help those graduates to find jobs, HUAT had several times of big on-campus job fairs and employment posters, which offered more than 23,000 positions compacted mainly in automotive industry and mechanical manufacturing industry, such as Dongfeng Motor Corporation, BAIC Motor, BYD Limited, Great Wall Motor Co. Ltd. etc.
According to a survey conducted by Mycos in 2017, the monthly average income of graduates of HUAT in 2016 is about 3,964 Yuan, a bit higher than that previous graduates (about 3822 Yuan), which symbolizes their personal value better. In terms of professions, those who are engaged in the field of Internet Development and Application and computer science and technology are better paid than those in other fields. Another statistics released IPIN Company, the monthly average income of the graduates of HUAT in the past 5 years amounts to 8,388 Yuan.
The continuous popularity of the graduates of HUAT attributes to its significant attention to a variety of students’ hands-on abilities, innovation and competitions, such as national college student start-up design competition, mechanical innovation design competition, car design competition, smart car competition, Formula Student competition etc. In the past 3 years, the students have won 816 honored prizes, 182 of which are on national level. 1900 students are involved in the all these activities.
