From December 6th to 8th the 2017 annual meeting of University Libraries in Hubei province was held in Yangtze University library in Jingzhou city with 164 librarians from 73 universities and colleges in Hubei Province. Yifu Library of HUAT was honored with Advanced Group for its excellent service for students in 2017. Mr. Zhang Hui, a librarian of HUAT was honored with Excellent Team Leader in the competition of academic search.
It is reported that the advanced group selection of the university library is sponsored by Hubei University Library and Information Work Committee, and it is divided into three categories: state universities, 211 universities, undergraduate colleges and vocational colleges. After the public review and expert assessment, twelve applicants won such honor, including the library of Wuchang Institute of Technology, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences etc. Our school library, adhering to the management concept of "reader centered", enhances service awareness, cultural elements, and strive to improve the library cultural atmosphere, highlighting the educational function in the reader of humane care, reading promotion. The construction of campus culture and other aspects of the work has achieved remarkable results. The work has been highly recognized by the readers and peer experts.
A related responsible person said that the library staff will take this honor as an opportunity to further strengthen the service consciousness, to learn and master more knowledge and skills to serve the readers, to create innovative services, further improve the library management level and service quality, provide wholeheartedly service for teachers and students so as to make more brilliant achievement.
