After 20 days of fierce competition, the seventh session of the Seventh National College Student Trade Ability Competition (autumn competition) came to a close. The competition was held in the form of network, attracting more than 5,000 students from 247 colleges and universities all over the country. Students from school of economic management and foreign languages participated in the competition. After 20 days of intense competition, the students won two first prizes for team competition, one first prize, seven second prizes and ten third prizes for individuals.
This is the seventh time for our students to win the first prize for seven years on end. According to the regulations, participants must act as an independent trade company engaging in import and export business and trade among one another. Their activities cover such tasks as correspondence consultation in English, trade terms and payment application, commodity price accounting, cost control, methods of expanding profits and import and export trade documents producing. Each university can have one or more teams that consists of 20 students participate in the competition. The competition sets two prizes, one for teams and the other for individuals. Those who are qualified in the competition can obtain a POCIB certificate issued by International Trade Institute of China, which makes them more competitive in the job market.
