The third National University Welding Innovation competition was held at Chongqing University of Science and Technology from 20 to 22 April. Four teams from the school of materials science and engineering participated in the competition. After rounds of competition, such as work display, performance test and defense, our team won two first prizes, one second prize and one third prize.  

It is reported that the third national college student welding innovation competition is sponsored by the China Mechanical Industry Education Association Teaching Committee, Welding Society of China Mechanical Engineering Society and hosted by Chongqing University of Science and Technology. This competition is for the undergraduate students majoring welding technology and engineering, material forming and control engineering for the purpose of science innovation which is also the theme of the competition. The participants are required to solved the sophisticated problems with welding engineering and technology so that their engineering innovation ability can be improved during the practice as well as laying solid foundation for their future career.
