On April 9, Ms.Liu Yunmei, vice mayor of Shiyan city Liu, Yunmei, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General of the municipal government, visited HUAT for research and investigation. Major leaders of HUAT attended the meeting, including Party secretary and CUC Cheng Hongbing, President Zhong Yuning, Mr. Guo Douxi, director of president office.

Mr. Cheng , on behalf of HUAT expressed thanks to so many years’ care and support from the government and the vice mayor herself, especially this visit when HUAT was in the crucial period of development. Mr. Zhong made a brief introduction about the achievements HUAT had achieved during the past few years, future development plan, co-establishment of Shiyan Strategic Development Research Institute and other issues related to staff’s daily life and hope that the government would continue to support HUAT’ development as it had done in the past.

Ms. Liu Yunmei said that the municipal Party committee and the municipal government attach great importance to the development of HUAT. She hopes that all the staff will strive to make greater progress and make higher education in Shiyan bigger, stronger and more brilliant so as to make significant contribution to development of local society and economy.
