According to a name list released by Shiyan Science and Technology Bureau, Professor Zhou Haiying and Hu Mingmao were chosen as leading figures in science and technology innovation in Shiyan City for the achievements their teams have made in the research field. Their research work will provide Shiyan City with a technical and practical platform that is substantial to the upgrading the technology in the field, market reform policy adjustment and social development.

It is reported that there are 10 leading figures as well as 12 research teams chosen for the round of 2017. It also means that HUAT has been living up to its promise, that as a university in the local area, it will contribute more to the research environment and the social development of Shiyan Area.
