In order to improve students’ cultural quality and expand their international horizons, funded by the world-famous scientists of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education, Mr. Wang Kesheng, lifelong professor of Norwegian University of Science and Technology, also one of the academicians of the Norwegians Engineering Institution, delivered a lecture entitled “The challenges of big data and deep learning for industry maintenance”. The meeting was presided by Mr. Xu Xiang, director to science and technology. More than 180 students attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Wang introduced the knowledge related to artificial intelligence, and explained the prospect and future development of artificial intelligence by enumerating the example of "Alfa dog beats the human brain". He stressed that universities are places where talents are stored, and that university of Plymouth, introduced industry 4.0 and big data, the development history of BMW and BMW’s research into big data, how to achieve industry 4.0 and so on.
At the end of the report, the teachers and students had a good interaction and exchange with the lecturers on how to use artificial intelligence in the design of the lathe and how to deal with big data and so on.
