After 3 days of overall, deep and carefully examination of the program of automotive engineering by field examination, interviews, attendance of classes and reviews of documents, the expert group held a feedback meeting on June 6th with all the school leaders, directors of related departments, all the staff of the school of automotive engineering, deans and Representative of schools, directors of all other programs.
At the meeting, Ms. Zhao Lili, the head of the expert group made a feedback report on behalf of the experts about their views on the accredited program of automotive engineering, giving a positive comment on the advantages and specialty of the program, especially some highlights such as the brand resulted from students' innovation competition, the effective support of the off-campus practice base to the course goals, teaching activities integrated with advanced modern teaching software and the implementation of the concept of the student based service provided by the library. She said all the experts agree that the school attaches great importance to accreditation work, actively integrates the accreditation into the new engineering program construction and teaching reform and took the accreditation as a chance of promoting the construction of connotation of the program, the training of applied talents, the development of local economy, the technological progress of the automobile industry, the deep cooperation of industrial development as well as enhancing teachers' responsibility in talent training and constant improvement of the quality of education and teaching.
Other experts also expressed their opinions about the automotive engineering program, speaking highly of the measures and ways of establishing relationship with middle schools with excellent graduates, training target, requirements for graduation, continuous improvement of mechanism, teachers, support of HUAT, feedback from employers and alumni. They also offered favorable suggestions on the understanding of the connotation of graduation requirements, the implementation of the teaching reform of the OBE courses, the rationality of the curriculum matrix, the tracking and evaluation of the teaching effect of part-time teachers, and the conditions of the experimental teaching equipment.
Mr. Cheng Hongbing, Secretary of the Party Committee of HUAT, thanked the members of the expert group for their hard work during the accreditation period. He said that experts had made a realistic and open evaluation on the construction of the program of automotive engineering and other programs, and also presented a highly constructive, guiding and operational feedback. The opinions and suggestions had guiding significance in both the construction and promotion of the program of automotive engineering and other programs from the top level.
