On May 21st, Mr.Zhang Shaoping, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of China in Dubai,the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Huang Weihong, chairman of Shiyan Federation of overseas Chinese, and Ms. Zhang Jing, chairman of the Jing Jia Automotive Components Company Limited, Hubei, visited HUAT to discuss cooperation. Ms. Ma Xun, director of international office and Mr. Zhou Haiying, dean of college of automotive engineers had a meeting with them. Ms. Ma gave a brief introduction about HUAT and the achievements in the field international. Mr. Zhou gave a detailed account of college of automotive engineers, layout of programs, the double degrees cooperation with a French university and so on.
Mr.Zhang Shaoping expressed willingness to introduce HUAT to the local schools in Dubai. The two sides discussed the training of cooperative personnel and cooperation in running universities and promoting exchange of teachers and students. The two sides agreed to continue in-depth discussions on the cooperation after Mr. Zhang is back in Dubai.
After the meeting, the guests visited the beach car based on real-time Ethernet, Dongfeng AX7 unmanned vehicle, an unmanned electric vehicle and students’racing cars and communicated with teachers about scientific research innovation projects.
