In order to further promote the Sino French cooperation project between HUAT and University of Clermont-Auvergne (UCA) and make our students better understand French culture and French education, Ms. Li Jian-Jin, professor of University Clermont-Auvergne, Mr. Fontaine Jean-Pierre, professor of PolyTech, France and Ms. Gabet Celine, lecturer from language center of UCA visited HUAT for exchange purpose on April 25, 2018.
In the event, Ms. Celine first introduced the location, campus culture and urban life of University UCA in France. The students in the exchange program asked lots of questions about life and study they were going to face in France. Then, Professor Fontaine Jean-Pierre introduced the concept, research direction and professional settings of the PolyTech Institute of engineers, explained the course contents and schedules of the semester, and shared the successful experience of foreign students in France. Professor LI Jian-Jin also answered such questions as the rank of UCA among French universities, international cooperation, strength and faculty and gave detailed analysis of the learning stages at ISIMA and direction of employment after graduation. The students present actively communicated with Professor LI JIan-Jin.
Finally, Mr. Zhou Haiying, dean of College of Automotive Engineers introduced the basic situation of the double degree and the "3+3" project of HUAT, the related learning requirements, and according to his own experience in France, encouraged the students to grasp the opportunity, study hard, learn French well, and lay a solid foundation for further study abroad in the future and become modern talents of comprehensive quality and all-round development.
Before the seminar, professor Li Jian-jin also met Mr. Zhong Yuning, President of HUAT. She and her colleagues also interviewed the students who were going to study in France.
