On August 18th, after thirty years’ graduation from HUAT, all the graduates of Class 8514-3 gathered at HUAT to celebrate with excitement and happiness their 30th anniversary of graduation. Mr. Yang Lizhi, vice party secretary of HUAT, directors and teachers of the mechanical school attended the gathering.
On behalf of the school, Mr. Yang Lizhi warmly welcomed the alumni. He thanked the alumni for their attention to the development of the school and hoped that alumni would put forward valuable suggestions for the development of the school and return to alma mater frequently.
During the gathering, both the students and teachers refreshed their nostalgic memories of thirty years ago. Ms. Pei Ling, the head teacher of the class, Ms. Luo Manding, the English teacher, Mr. Chang Zhibin and other teachers of the class made speeches at the gathering, recalling the good old days and sending their best wishes for the all the “big children”. Mr. Yang Songpin and Ms. Zhang Yan, on behalf of the class responded to the teachers’ expectation actively and expressed their gratitude to the school.
After the meeting, guided by the teachers, the graduates were showed around the school, visited the places where they once lived and studied. They also visited the school history exhibition room and HUAT racing car studio and were amazed the great achievements, changes and development the school had achieved in the past 30 years. They said that they were proud to be one of the graduates of HUAT and would try to contribute more to the development of their alma mater.
