 Prof. Yang Lizhi Attends the Closing Ceremony of the 5th Wudang Cultural Summer Camp

On the afternoon of July 11th , Mr. Yang Lizhi, professor and deputy Party secretary of HUAT, director of Wudang cultural research and communication center, was invited to attend the closing ceremony of the fifth session of Wudang culture summer camp for the young of minority from Taiwan and Hubei Province and gave a lecture entitled "the exquisitely laid-out temples, an appreciation of architectures of Wudang Taoism". 90 young people from Taiwan (Miaoli minority) and Hubei Province gathered to listen to the lecture.

 

With full and accurate historical materials, vivid language, and his own personal feelings, Yang Lizhi explained the historical significance of Wudang architectures, architectural status, aesthetic value and its great influence on the architectural aesthetic ideas of later generations. In order to activate the atmosphere and increase the interaction, Mr. Yang also designed some question and answer about Taoist culture and architectures so that the students present could show interest, understand, know and love Wudang culture in an easy way and feel the beauty of the Wudang Taoist architectures.


 

Yang Lizhi hopes that young people from will cherish time, strengthen exchanges, take opportunities, make full use of their intelligence, inherit the profound  Wudang culture, experience the unique charm of Wudang Daoist architecture, and make summer camp a beautiful memory in life. He also encourages them to study hard and master their skills and be the successors and disseminators of Wudang culture. Yang Lizhi finally enthusiastically proposed that the students bring home the blessing of the Wudang, wish their moms and dads a long life, and wish China's prosperity. 


It is reported that since 2014, Wudang Culture Summer Camp has been held for four consecutive years and has become an important platform for teenagers to learn from each other, motivate each other as well as an important bridge to inherit the Chinese traditional culture.
