 Ms. Sofie Krol from Antwerp University, Belgium Visits HUAT

On November 5, Ms. Sofie Krol, director of international projects of the School of Applied Engineering, Antwerp University, Belgium, visited HUAT and held a discussion with the principal directors of the Graduate Office, International Cooperation Exchange Office, Automotive Engineering College and Automotive Engineer College. Both sides have conducted in-depth exchanges on the joint training program for master degree students in automobile major.


 

At the meeting, Ms. Krol had a detailed understanding of the history, specialty settings, postgraduate training, subject characteristics and the teaching situation of HUAT and related information about different schools of HUAT. Combining with the teaching staff, school-running level, geographical position, university ranking and research ability of Antwerp University, she focused on the introduction of Antwerp University and three other European universities. The implementation plan and advantages of the joint training project for the sustainable development of automotive engineering postgraduates. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the application conditions for the project, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions on student thesis guidance, scientific research cooperation, doctoral training and other issues in the joint training of postgraduates. The meeting ended with a signed letter of intent for cooperation between the two universities.

 

Ms. Krol said that the visit laid a good foundation for the cooperation between the two universities. Both sides hope to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust, further strengthen contacts, deepen cooperation and promote common development in the future. After the meeting, Ms. Sofie Krol also visited the unmanned Formula team, Library and other places of the College of Automotive Engineers, and had a warm exchange with our students.
