On October 24, Mr. Han Wu, head of Chinese affairs of Southern Cross University, Australia and Mr. Peng Zhongyi, head of Central China, visited HUAT and held a discussion in the conference room on the first floor of the library. Leaders of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, teaching department, school of electrical and information, school of Economics and Management and the School of Science attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the feasibility of the implementation of the relevant professional cooperation projects between the two schools, as well as the internship, curriculum, credit recognition and graduation requirements of the Australian companies. The two sides thought that the visit laid a good foundation for cooperation between the two schools and hoped to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust and further enhance cooperation in the future to build Strong ties and in-depth cooperation to promote common development.
In the afternoon, Mr. Wu and his team also held a lecture on the Southern Cross University Project in Classroom 6213. At the lecture, Ma Xun, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange, made a brief introduction to the functions of universities, the pre-cooperation between the two universities and the running conditions of Southern Cross University. The Australian teacher showed the students the propaganda video of the Southern Cross University. He explained in detail the cooperation project between the two universities in terms of faculty strength, school level, geographical location, University ranking, research ability and application conditions. He also explained the cost, accommodation and specialty that everyone cared about, graduation and other contents and guide students how to solve the difficulties in learning, how to explore and learn foreign life skills. The Australian teachers and our students had a positive interaction. The atmosphere of the lecture was relaxing and pleasant, and the students responded enthusiastically.
