On the afternoon of October 13, the 2018 annual meeting and convention of Wuhan Alumni Association of HUAT was held in Donghe Center of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone. At the meeting, Guo Duxi, Secretary-General of the First Council of Wuhan Alumni Association, briefed the participants on the work of the Association since its inception and the preparations for the new session of the Alumni Association Council.
Subsequently, by a show of hands, the meeting elected 27 new presidents, vice-presidents, directors, secretaries-general and deputy secretary-general of the Wuhan Alumni Association. Jiang Wu, a 98-grade alumnus of Automobile Engineering College, was elected president and Zhang Shiyi, a 98-grade alumnus of Automobile Engineering College, was elected secretary-general.
Jiang Wu, the new president, delivered a passionate speech at the meeting. As graduates of HUAT, he said, we are always concerned about our alma mater, and we are deeply grateful to the teachers for their knowledge training and life teaching during their alma mater study. He stressed that the Wuhan Alumni Association is a platform for alumni exchange and communication. The current Council will do a good job of alumni work steadily, build a good platform, further strengthen exchanges between alumni and schools, alumni and alumni, schools and enterprises, and enhance ties, friendship and feelings among alumni in Wuhan.
