On the afternoon of October 13, Mr. Zhang Shengren, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, together with Mr. Zhou Hongliang, Director of the Personnel Department of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Ms. Li Cuihua, Vice-Director of the Social Development Science and Technology Department, accompanied by Mr. Liu Haijun, vice Party Secretary of Shiyan Municipal Committee, Mr. Fang Jianqing, Vice-Mayor of Shiyan Municipal Committee,  Liu Qile, deputy director of the Shiyan Municipal Science, visited HUAT to investigate the provincial engineering and technology center and provincial key laboratory. President Zhong Yuning and Vice-Principal Zhang Youbing warmly received Zhang Shengren and his delegation, and held a discussion in the conference room of Automobile Engineering College. 

At the meeting, Zhong Yuning introduced the basic situation of HUAT, and highlighted the achievements of HUAT's scientific research work in recent years and the cooperation between industry, university and research. Zhong Yuning pointed out that the school, based on the automobile industry belt (Wuhan-Suizhou-Xiangyang-Shiyan), highlighted the characteristics of automotive disciplines, closely centered around the trend of automotive intelligence, lightweight, electrification, networking and sharing, implemented the "126" discipline development strategy, innovated the school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, improved the quality of personnel training, strengthened Scientific research ability and social service ability. Zhong Yuning hopes that the provincial Science and Technology Department and Shiyan Municipal Government will give support to the school's application for major projects and research platform construction in Hubei Province.
