On the morning of January 9th, Professor Paolo Genoese of Calabria Academy of Fine Arts in Italy presented a professional academic lecture on the Italian culture and visual communication arts in the Teachers’ Development Center Room 1305 of HAUT. The lecture was hosted by Ma Xun, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Wang Zhong, Director of the Department of Industrial Design of the College of Mechanical Engineering. Teachers and students from HUAT and Hubei University of Medicine attended the lecture.
Professor Paolo Genoese has a talent in visual communication and other fields, who has been a teacher at Peruvian University of Foreign Countries and has participated in the manuscript design of the Italian localized brand of Chery, a renowned Chinese automobile company. Currently, he is also serving in the Italian Gala Design Company, and his collections of photography and other art works have also been exhibited in numerous EXPOs in Italy.
During the lecture, Professor Paolo Genoese first introduced the history of Italian art design and the achievements & ideologies of Da Vinci and other masters. Then he illustrated us the design concept of contemporary Italian designers through examples of industrial products, including Ferrari, Fiat and other well-known Italian car brands.
Ultimately, there was an enthusiastic interaction between the Professor Paolo Genoese and the teachers as well as the students from HUAT and HUM.
