On the afternoon of December 26, Jiang Tao, Vice President of Hubei University and his colleagues came to HUAT to investigate. Vice-President Luo Yongge, Ms. Zhang Hongxia, director of teaching department, and other department leaders attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Ms. Ma Xun, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, introduced the achievements of our school's foreign cooperation in recent years from the aspects of Inter-school exchanges, studying abroad and teachers' studying abroad. She also introduced the basic situation, difficulties and problems of our school in connection with the work of recruiting foreign students. The guests gave detailed answer to the question of the overseas students in at their university, the history of the development of the overseas students' education, the background of the establishment of the International College and the setting of its functions and emphasized its measures and new attempts in the management of the overseas students.

The two sides agreed that they should actively respond to the national "one belt and one way" policy. By recruiting overseas students to China, they will export Chinese educational ideas, teaching contents and educational methods to expand international exchanges and influence, carry forward the fine traditional culture of the China, and create excellent teachers. Subsequently, the leaders of the University introduced the achievements and experiences of the foreign cooperation of Hubei University over the years from the aspects of the establishment of Confucius Institute, Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and overseas study projects.

Mr. Luo Yongge expressed his heartfelt thanks for the unreserved introduction of the experience of Hubei University. He believed that the experience of the University could be used for reference in the recruitment and management of foreign students and the establishment of departments of our university. The two sides also exchanged views on the management mechanism of international students, the management of international students, the culture and daily affairs of international students.

After the meeting, accompanied by Mr. Cheng Hongbing, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President Jiang Tao and his delegation also visited the school history hall and the formula racing car workshop.
