From Dec. 6 to Dec. 9, the 11th National 3D Competition Annual Final and Digital Show 2018 Digital Science and Technology Culture Festival came to a successful conclusion in Yuxi, Yunnan Province. Under the guidance of Mr. Chen Yong, Mr. Cheng Yanming and other teachers, Mr. Gao Qi, Gao Han, Meng Guodong and Li Shaofeng from the College of Mechanical Engineering of our University won two third-class national awards and a number of provincial awards for their outstanding performance.
It is reported that in the provincial competition in October, 20 teams of our school won the Hubei Competition Area Awards, including 2 prizes, 10 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 2 third prizes. "That girl" team's "reverse design of gearbox" works and "future city bicycle" works of "penxin" team won the first prize, and represented Hubei Province in the national finals, and won the third national prize.
Since its launch in 2008, the National 3D Competition has been successfully held to the 11th consecutive session. It has attracted the attention of all localities, universities and enterprises. The scale of the competition has expanded steadily. More than 600 participating universities and more than 1000 participating enterprises have entered for the competition in succession each year. The level of the participating works has been constantly improved, and a large number of excellent design works and teams have emerged. The competition has become the largest and most standardized competition in the country. The high level, the most powerful and most influential national large-scale public welfare brand competition and the "Internet + innovation" industry event has made it known as the “Creating Carnival”, “the 3D Olympic Games” and “the innovative design of Oscar”.
