 Graduate Students Win the first prize in the Automation Control Application Design Competition

From November 17 to 18, the 5th "Omron Cup" Automation Control Application Design Competition, sponsored by the Automation Specialty Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Specialty Committee of the National Machinery Vocational Education, was held at Changzhou Vocational Mechtronic Institute of Technology in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. After careful preparation before the competition, our team played well on the spot and won the first national prize.


 

"Omron Cup" competition aims at training skilled and innovative automation talents as well as improving the employment competitiveness of students majoring in automation and carrying out the training, assessment and identification of high-tech automation talents in accordance with the post requirements of industrial automation industry, and finally completing the employment of talents.  


The competition form of this contest is "Robot Billiards" contest fully exerting the technical characteristics of automation "sensing and control", a set of application platform of intelligent control technology is constructed by using comprehensive technologies such as motion controller, vision sensor and servo. The competition attracted many domestic universities such as Beijing University of Technology, Harbin University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Tianjin University of Technology, Jiangsu University and so on. The contest is divided into two stages: the preliminary contest and the final contest. The preliminary contest committee consists of engineers from Omron (China) Co., Ltd. and experts from the Automation Teachers' who Committee carry out the preliminary evaluation, the first and second round review. At last, 24 works from 21 universities were selected to enter the final contest.
