Recently, two postgraduate students, Mr.Chang Chengze and Mr. Zhu Zhengze were enrolled in the joint training program between Hubei University of Automotive Technology and French University for doctoral students of China and France in 2017/2018. They went to Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard, (UTBM)和Université Clermont-Auvergne (UCA), France, and began their PhD studies in France.
"HUAT has always encouraging us to continue our further studies, creating a relaxed atmosphere for students to study abroad, provided many convenient conditions so that more excellent students have the opportunity to go abroad. We will certainly cherish the opportunity to study abroad, study hard, master more knowledge and skills, and strive to return to our alma mater and serve our motherland as soon as possible," said Mr. Changcheng and Mr. Zhu Zhengze.
Mr. Chang Cheng, a postgraduate student from the school of Material Science and Engineering, Grade 2015, will study for three years in the LERMPS (Materials, Technology and Surface Research) Laboratory of UTBM, France. Zhu Zhengze is a graduate student of mechanical engineering specialty of Automotive Engineer College, Grade 2015. He will study for three years in LIMOS (Computer Science, System Modeling and Optimization) Laboratory of UCA. At present, the two students have completed their registration at the Ph.D. College of the University of France and formally began their Ph.D. academic research in respective laboratories.
It is reported that in order to strengthen and expand the cooperation between HUAT and famous French universities in higher education and research fields, to provide a platform for mutual communication and cooperation between scholars of China and France, to promote academic exchanges between China and France, and to close cooperation between universities of both sides in personnel training, the college of Automotive engineers has set up a "3+3" Joint Training Program for its students, which provides services for the students of science and engineering who are going to study in France, directs the application for the Program of the China Scholarship Council (CSC), and provides help and funds students from China to apply for the joint training universities for doctoral studies. At present, the application for doctoral students has been officially launched.
By 2018, the number of students studying for master's and doctoral degrees in famous universities in France has reached 21.
