On the morning of March 4, the Director of the Provincial Department of Education, Tao Hong,  along with his delegation of 5 leaders came to HUAT for investigation,research and guidance,accompanied by Liu Hanshan(the Member of Standing Committee of Shiyan Municipal Committee of the CPC & the Director of OrganizationDepartment of Shiyan City),  Liu Yunmei(the Deputy Mayor of Shiyan City),Zhu Hualun(The Director of the Education Bureau)and Zhou Ling(the Chief of Zhangwan District).The  Secretary of CPC Committee of HUAT, Cheng Hongbing and the President Zhong Yuning accompanied them  through out the investigation. Other school leaders participated in some visits and inspections.

Tao Hong and his delegation visited the school history museum, the HUAT formula racing team, the national engineering research center of digital manufacturing equipment, the sub-center of automobile manufacturing automation , the intelligent network-linked auto-driving vehicle research and development project, and the research and communication center the Wudang culture.During the visit, Cheng Hongbing and Zhong Yuning delivered a simple report on the expansion of the campus, the construction of scientific research platforms, the application of transformation of achievement, and the competition of HUAT students.              

On his departure, Tao Hong hoped that with distinctive features,HUAT should take advantage of the concept of the university characteristics, deepen the integration of industry and university, and promote the cooperation with Dongfeng Company to better serve the automobile industry and local economic construction as well asa great contribution to the transformation ofa unique application-oriented university.
