From May 17th to 19th, the 4th National College Students Welding Innovation Competition was held at Lanzhou University of Technology, 163 teams from 53 universities throughout the nation participated in the competition.Four teams from College of Materials Engineering of HUAT under the guidance of the instructors Wang Jinfeng, Li Cong and Zhou Bofang, participated in the competition and they won one national first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes after fierce competition.
It is reported that this competition is jointly sponsored by the Advisory Committee of Material Science Teaching in Higher Education, Ministry of Education, China Education Association of Machinery Industry , and the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Welding & Connecting from Harbin Institute of Technology, which aims to promote the development of welding education and talents cultivation model innovation through competitions.The National College Students Welding Innovation Competition is the highest level of competition for undergraduates majoring in welding, which was first initiated by Harbin Institute of Technology & Tianjin University and has been held for four years.HUAT has participated in the competition for three consecutive years and has achieved good results ever since 2016.
