From October 18th to 27th, the 7th CISM Military World Games was held in Wuhan. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of P.R.C. and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and announced the start of the Games. There are 6 volunteers from HUAT who have participated in the service of the games, who welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests from home and abroad with the most beautiful smiles, and delivered a warm and friendly tag of Wuhan to the world, as well as showing the young spirit of the HUAT students, which added glory to the city of Wuhan and made China eye-catching throughout the world.
In order to fulfill a good job in the volunteer service during the 7th CISM Military World Games, the volunteers from HUAT actively cooperated with the organizing committee to participate in the service on October 16. Their presence and persistence in positions and hard work in all corners of the arena ensured the smooth going of the whole competition. It is reported that as the largest scale Military World Games competition ever since, there were a total of 9,308 soldiers from 109 countries participating in the 7th CISM Military World Games, and more than 230,000 volunteers dedicated to the service.
