The 9th National POCIB Contest (spring season)officially ended at 10:00 on June 18th. Under the leadership of Qiao Wei, Song Shipeng, Wang Jingxia, Dong Chao and other instructors, after 15 consecutive days of hard work, our school team won 3 special group awards in national-level, 1 first group award in national-level, and 8 national individual first prizes, 11 national individual second prizes and 22 national individual third prizes.
Different from previous competitions, this competition was conducted online and the schedule was shortened accordingly, which increased the difficulty of the competition. Before the contest, the instructor group carefully studied the competition plan, held many meetings, conducted online mobilization and publicity, and formulated careful selection standards and pre-match training programs. During the competition, teachers carried out elaborate online guidance and one-to-one tracking. Faced with different competition situations, teachers adjusted the strategy in time, and overcame the difficulties together with the participating students. In the face of the scorching heat, the group members were not afraid of difficulties, full of energy and continuous struggle. After the contest, the students said that they have gained a lot in this competition, which laid the foundation for their future postgraduate entrance examination and employment.
This competition didn’t only improve the professional skills of the participating students, but also showed the excellent style of the HUATers who are not afraid of difficulties. At the same time, the university sees this contest as an opportunity to drive more students to participate in professional skills competitions,which will make students strive to create better results in future competitions and win more honors for HUAT.
