To facilitate the international micro-salon during the pandemic, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office has established an online platform for assisting our faculty members to communicate with foreign universities and promoting their overseas studies through emails, WeChat, Zoom conference etc.At 10:00 a.m. on March 31, the 20th international exchange micro-salon was scheduled regardless of the epidemic. Ma Xun, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, interpreted the requirements for applying for local cooperation program supported by the China Scholarship Council in 2020, and communicated with 19 teachers participated in the exchange activity through the online platform.
At 15:00 on April 24, Gao Wei from College of Automotive Engineering shared online her visit to University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in Canada with over twenty teachers. She exchanged views in five aspects: Canadian higher education, an introduction to UOIT, work and study during the visit, Canadian visa application process, and relevant precautions. At 8:45 am on May 14, 2020, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office connected to Detroit in the United States. Teacher Xue Changchun, who is still studying at Wayne State University, had an international exchange micro-salon on line,who is a teacher from College of Economics and Management and is conducting a one-year visit and further study at Engineering College ,Wayne State University under the college teachers overseas training program supported by the Provincial Ministry of Educations and school funding from May 2019 to May 2020.
Subsequently, Ma Xun, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, interpreted the application requirements and related materials for the program 2021, and interacted with the applying teachers and other teachers interested in the program.
