From November 6th to 8th, the "FLTRP·ETIC cup" national English contest(Hubei division) semi-final was held in Wuhan. The contest consists of three categories: English speaking competition, reading competition and writing competition.

Under the careful organization of the Foreign Language Department and the selective test, a total of 5 students participated in the contest. With the joint efforts of participating students and instructors, our students won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. Among them, Xia Hui from The Foreign Languages Department won the first prize in the speech competition. Zhang Yiyu of the Foreign Language Department and Li Jie of College of Science and Technology  respectively won the second prize and the third prize in the reading competition. In the English writing competition, Peng Huijun from the Foreign Language Department and Xu Jingxuan from the College of Science and Technology respectively won the third prize and the second prize.

Through extensive publicity, active mobilization and careful organization of The Foreign Language Department, this provides a solid guarantee for the students to achieve great achievements and leads students to improve their ability in a broader arena of the contest.
