On the evening of October 17, the College of Mechanical Engineering 2020 Freshmen Orientation party entitled "Shining the Dream of China and Creating the Light of Times" was held in the HUAT auditorium. Party Secretary of The College of Mechanical Engineering Gong Aihong, Deputy Dean Wang Hongxia, and Secretary of the Youth League Committee Zhan Jun presented as distinguished guests.

The 2020 freshmen and members of the 38th Students Union participated in the party together. The performance was also broadcast live on the college’s official QQ account and other online platforms, and nearly 2,000 people watched the event online. This party encouraged mechanical students to learn about the culture of the college and the style of contemporary HUAT students.
