Recently, the first Hubei Provincial University Teaching Innovation Contest has been successfully held at Wuhan University. Zhou Xiao from College of Science and Zhang Ju from College of Automotive Engineering, won the third prizes in the intermediate category of the contest.

A total of 254 teachers (teams) in Hubei Province participated in the contest. 60 teachers (teams) stood out and were shortlisted for the on-site evaluation of the competition after online evaluation and selection.The theme of the contest is to "promoting teaching innovation and creating first-class courses" with the goals of implementation of the foundation, promotion of smart education and enhancement of learning community, which aims to fully implement the new era of national higher education spirit posted by the National Education Conference, adheres to the fundamental task of establishing morality and the construction concept of "new engineering, new agriculture, new medicine, and new liberal arts" as the guide to integrate teaching innovation and faculty’s dedication to education.
