From April 16th to 18th, the 7th National College Student Engineering Training Comprehensive Ability Competition hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education was held at Jianghan University. Over 1,600 undergraduates in 404 teams from 33 colleges and universities in Hubei participated in this comprehensive ability competition for college students' engineering training.

HUAT participated in 6 competitions including potential energy-driven vehicles, thermal energy-driven vehicles, intelligent logistics handling, bridge design, underwater pipeline intelligent inspection, and domestic waste intelligent classification. After fierce competition, 15 participating teams won a total of 6 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 7 third prizes. In this competition, the number of provincial awards and rankings of HUAT were the best in the history. At the same time, HUAT also won the award for excellent organization of the competition. It is reported that the Hubei Provincial College Student Engineering Training Comprehensive Ability Competition is a scientific and technological innovation practice competition for college students by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education as one of the three major competitions recognized by the Ministry of Education, which has been held for seven consecutive years. This competition is compared with previous ones. The competition projects are highly variable and difficult, and are close to the current hot spots of scientific research in my country.
