In early October, HUAT student’s team from material engineering college won the honor of “Excellent Team”, one special medal for individual, one first medal, two second medals and one honored title from “Emerson Innovation Cup” in the Second Metallurgical Skills Competition of National Universities (SMSCNU) held in Southeast University.

Granted by the Institute of Research Work of University Laboratories, the competition was jointly organized by the organization of teaching and research in materials science laboratories and Southeast University. 48 universities, including some top universities, like Qinghua University, Tongji University and Beijing University of Science and Technology and other common universities which have departments of material and science engineering sent their teams to participate in the competition.
