After successful assembly of “HUAT-3”, the new racing car launched its first test on May 13. Tang Deqian, deputy director of teaching administration office, Deng Zhaowen, the coach teacher, and all the team members witnessed the exciting event.

At 2:30 in the afternoon, the team members took the car to the testing ground. After careful examination of the new car, the car was once again adjusted according to the driver’s habits and physical condition. During the test of each performance, the new car proved to be of good dynamic performance and handling. The whole performance of the new car meets the design goals basically. In the following 2 hours’ of test, the car has undertaken extreme test and the water temperature remains at about 90 ℃. The reliability is also verified. All the drivers did well. But some small problems occurred with the new car during the test. For example, if the driver is heavier, there will be slight fraction between the chassis and the ground and the angle of the pedals are not appropriate. Such problems will be adjusted and solved one by one during the future test. With the completion of all technical work, all the team members are preparing for the ultimate sprint and achieving their final goal in German in July.
