On March 27th, the opening ceremony of vehicle simulation and control technology center, with joint construction by HUAT and America MathWorks Company was held at school of automotive engineering. Mr. Mao Gaobo, the vice President of HUAT, and Chen Wei, the director of China education business development of MathWorks Company attended the ceremony.
The ceremony presided over by Wang Baohua, the Dean of the school of automotive engineering. He said: "Nowadays MathWorks, MATLAB and Simulink products are widely used around the world. The cooperation with these companies enable our students to learn and grasp the newest system modeling, embedded development, algorithm development and data analysis technology and improve their comprehensive ability and competitiveness."
Dr. Chen Wei said that it was an honor for MathWorks to have the opportunity becoming a partner of HUAT and help it achieve the goal of “Excellent Engineers Plan” and "2011 plan" by providing teaching staff and students with high-quality information services and MathWorks would try take an active role in accomplish the goals.
In addition to the construction of a vehicle simulation and control technology center, MathWorks would also provide support to school of automotive engineering to construct public teaching platform, authorize all teachers and students of the school to use MathWorks’new software, provide funds to students to attend FSC Formula SAE and other competitions, support course reform and development of new courses.
