 HUATers Won Prizes in the 1st NSCC

In the recently concluded First National Supply Chain Competition, which involved 324 competitions among more than 3,500 participants in 877 teams from 489 colleges and universities from 29 provinces across the country, HUAT students secured 1 second prize and 1 third prize. This competion is hosted by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, where the National First-level Industry Association and the National Education and Guidance Committee Secretariat are located, and undertaken by the Education and Training Department of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. Xiamen Yimu Technology Co., Ltd. provided technical support.

HUAT team composed of Yi Feifan, Lou Huichao, Ye Shaojian, and Cai Chuanshu from the logistics management major from the School of Science and Technology won the second national prize. The team composed of Chen Wei, Yang Ming, Liu Macheng, and Zhou Xuan from the logistics management major from the School of Economics and Management won the third national prize. Under the guidance of their teachers Yin Lvjiang, Jia Jing, and Yin Yuanxing, the participating students made use of the winter vacation and overcame the difficulties despite the pandemic with due diligence for more than four months. After rounds of fierce competition, from campus competitions, simulation competitions all the way to national competitions, these two teams stood out and finally won a second and a third national prize respectively.

It is reported that the First National Supply Chain Competition is based on the principle of “connecting industries, improving teaching, and serving enterprises”, which is in line with the application-oriented transformation direction of Chinese universities and centers on supply chain operation management. And through supply chain operation management simulation and operation planning innovation design, it helps students understand and master innovative methods, which is of great significance for training supply chain professionals in the new era.
