On the afternoon of June 15, the Ministry of Education P.R.C. held the 2020 National Conference of Directors of Higher Education & the Teaching Advisory Committee of Colleges and Universities.Professor Zhang Hongxia, director of HUAT’s Academic Affairs Office was selected as one of the 10 national model directors. This is the first time HUAT has won this national honor.
The meeting was hosted by Xu Qingsen, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. Officials from the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education as well as others from provincial (city, district) education departments (education committees) and universities attended the video conference. The leaders of the Academic Affairs Office of HUAT and Colleges watched the meeting. Ever since the start of undergraduate education work conference in 2018, HUAT has closely focused on our orientation and the requirements for the cultivation of first-class talents with application capabilities in accordance with the principles of updating education concepts, innovating institutional mechanisms, coordinating the allocation of resources, and focusing on reform and construction, as well as quality improvement and the overall working idea of connotation development. We actively carries out various tasks, and strives to build first-class application-oriented undergraduate majors, first-class courses, first-class teaching team to continuously enhance the integration of industry and education, promote the reform of first-class application-oriented talent training model and students' first-class innovation and practice ability.
