 HUAT International Students in 7th National Census

On November 5, Yang Qibin, Director of Zhangwan District Peoples Congress, Gu Tingting, Director of Zhangwan District Statistics Bureau, and Chen Xiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hongwei Street, and Director of the Office visited international students apartment of HUAT for inspection of 7th National Census. Director of ICEO, Ma Xun, Deputy Director of the school office Guo Yikun and others accompanied the inspection.


In the international students dormitory, Yang Qibin had a cordial conversation with the international students. He inquired in detail about the basic conditions of their residence, study and lives, and told them the significance of the 7th national census, and called on them for support and cooperation. Subsequently, Yang Qibin supervised the census officers to upload the  information of international students by filling in the questions and signature for confirmation.


After the inspection, Yang Qibin pointed out that the census work should be strictly implemented  with accurate data and high quality, the protection of the personal information of foreigners must be strengthened throughout the process, and at the same time, the normal epidemic prevention must be taken seriously for the safety of them.

 

It is reported that in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the National Census, the targets of the seventh national census refer to natural persons (including permanent residents of the Mainland, residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and long-time stay foreigners) within the territory of the Peoples Republic of China at the standard time of the census .According to this regulation, the four-year full-time undergraduate students majoring in computer science and technology in HUAT are involved in the population census. They have been studying and living at HUAT during the epidemic, and there has been no case of evacuation.
