"I am not a bystander. This is my university. " Ever since January 26, HUAT international students will appear at the gate of the campus at 8 o'clock sharp in the morning every day. They wore masks, fluorescent yellow reflective vests with the school badge, and earnestly reminded every pedestrian entering and leaving the campus to wear masks correctly.

RAQIBUL, a 22 years old Bangladesh student, who signed up for the campus guard post at the very start. Shortly after he enrolled in December 2019, a pneumonia epidemic caused by COVID-19 broke out. During the control time, he was deeply troubled by digestive system diseases. The leaders and staff of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office immediately contacted the director of the school hospital for diagnosis and treatment and guidance on medication for him. After recovering from his illness, RAQIBUL said in a message to the staff of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, "Your care for me is more than my own parents!" Now, he is using practical actions and dedication to ensure the safety of the campus.

Born in 2002, YAYA, the youngest international student in HUAT, also signed up for campus duty work. He is from Mali, Africa, and entered HUAT 2020 computer science and technology major in November last year. He said that it is a great honor to come to Shiyan and to the university, hoping to contribute to the safety of the campus.

It is reported that during this year's winter vacation, a total of 22 international students of grades 2019 and 2020 chose to stay on campus. They have been studying and living during the epidemic. The university leaders attach great importance to the support of the international students to ensure them to have a happy and fulfilling winter vacation.
