On the afternoon of March 9, the launching ceremony of the 50th anniversary celebration activities of Hubei University of Automotive Technology was held on campus. All university leaders attended the launching ceremony and unveiled the visual image logo for the 50th anniversary of HUAT. The ceremony was presided by Li Tao, deputy secretary of the party committee. At the ceremony, Cheng Hongbing, secretary of the university's party committee, announced the official launch of a series of activities for the 50th anniversary of the founding of HUAT. The audience celebrated this exciting moment with warm applause.

President Zhang Wenxue delivered a speech. On behalf of the school, he extended sincere greetings and best wishes to all teachers and students, retired comrades, and alumni, and expressed heartfelt thanks to people from society who have long cared and supported the reform and development of HUAT!

Zhang Wenxue briefly reviewed the magnificent 50-year history of HUAT, from the arduous founding of the school to the full opening of the new journey of building a domestic first-class applied research university. He said that in the past 50 years, HUAT has inherited the blood of the national automobile industry and strengthened the education of the automobile industry civilization.The struggling track of the school has always been closely connected with the needs of the nation, and it has gone in the same direction with the development of the times and society .

He emphasized that the torch has been passed to our new generation. We should bear the burden, ride the breathing wind and sail through chopping waves,  working together to promote the school's leaping development and inject new impetus into the 50th anniversary celebration.

At the launching ceremony, all school leaders unveiled the visual image logo for the school's 50th anniversary celebration. The main body of the visual image logo for the 50th anniversary celebration is in the shape of a car, with red as the main tone, which perfectly integrates the characteristics of the automobile institute with the glorious history of 50 years. A flash mob with the theme of "HUAT to the Future" brought by more than 100 teachers and students is followed. It is reported that the school will hold a 50th anniversary celebration of HUAT on the first Saturday of December, that is, December 3.
