Seeking Development on the “Silk Road”: Vice President Zhang Hongxia Participated in the Online Program Talk between HUAT and Ukrainian University

 The online meeting of the cooperationprogram betweenHUAT and the Lviv National Polytechnic University of Ukraine was held at theFaculty Development Center at 3 pm on November 26, Beijing time (9 am on November 26, Kiev time). Nataliya Chukhray, Vice President of Lviv National University of Technology, Ukraine, Mykhailo Yastrubskyy, Director of China International Project Center, and heads of relative majors, Zhang Hongxia, Vice President ofHUAT, Su Zibo, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Chen Junbao, ViceDean and Economics of School of Mechanical Engineering Teacher Cheng Zengping from the School of Management and Liu Xin, a staff member of the International Office, participated in this onlinemeeting.

At themeeting, Nataliya Chukhray introduced the school-running situation and international cooperation and exchanges of Ukraine's Lviv National Polytechnic University. Zhang Hongxia introduced our school's history, development status, characteristic majors, and international exchanges and cooperation. Then, the two sides discussed in-depth on mechanical, managementand otherrelative majors. Mykhailo Yastrubskyy is particularly interested in the school model of our school’s integration of production and education. After the meeting, the two sides compared talent training plan betweenmechanical engineering, intelligent manufacturing engineering, international economics and trade, tourism management and other majors, determining cooperation specialty and cooperation mode. Both sides look forward tofurther cooperation between the two universities and contribute to the joint construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt".



It is reported that Ukraine is one of the first countries to respond toChina's "One Belt, One Road" initiative and is an important partner ofour country. Lviv National Polytechnic University of Ukraine was founded in 1816 and has a history of more than 200 years. It has beenranked as a four-level institution of higher learning by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
