On September 16, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, together with the Center of Faculty Development and the College of Automotive Engineering, held the 37th International Exchange Micro Salon in classroom 1305 of the first teaching building. The Iranian Ph.D. (Chinese name "Kewen") employed by the College of Automotive Engineering of HUAT, as the keynote speaker of this micro-salon, delivered a lecture entitled "China-Iran Relations". This event was hosted by Zhao Yuqing of the ICEO, Liu Xin acted as the translator for this event, and more than 30 teachers and students participated in the salon.

Dr. Kewen introduced Iran’s geographical location, customs, and food culture. During the period, a video of Iranian traditional concerts was played. Traditional Iranian musical instruments accompanied by music sung in Persian, a cultural audiovisual feast was presented in the lecture. In front of the the presented teachers and students, they experienced a wonderful cultural journey through the audio-visual dual sense.

Dr. Amir, who likes Chinese culture, also explained the history of China-Iranian diplomatic relations ever since 2500 years ago from a historical perspective. The two countries had diplomatic relations more than 2,000 years ago, and the establishment of the new Silk Road will also promote the relationship between the two countries.

This micro-salon event was successfully concluded in the warm exchanges between the participating members and Dr. Amir. We wish Dr. Amir will have a more profound and novel experience in HUAT.
