On December 1st, Yifu Library of Hubei University of Automotive Technology (HUAT), donated by Hong Kong entrepreneur, Mr. Shao Yifu put into use. Citizens can apply for library card to borrow books and read newspapers there.

The original library of HUAT covered an area of only 5000 square meters, which can not meet the need of students and other citizens. In December, 2010, Yifu Library project was initiated, covering an area of nearly 20,000 square meters. The project was awarded for its excellent design and quality.

There are over 600,000 copies of books, nearly 2,000 kinds of newspapers home and abroad, and 1 million electronic books, with more than 500 seats. The citizens can apply for library card by your ID card or employee’s card and personal photo as well as 200 RMB deposit.
