Major: Industrial Engineering

Program Educational Objectives:

The Industrial Engineering program aims to provide its graduates a solid educational foundation on which each graduate can build a successful and sustainable career in auto manufacturing technology and operation management methods in auto manufacturing system. In particular, the program concentrates on basic theories, methods and technologies used in modern industrial engineering and operation management. What’s more, the basic qualities of the graduates include a good command of English, comprehensive knowledge of human studies, and analysis, planning, design and management of various complex management and manufacturing system in manufacturing enterprises, such as manufacturing, electronic, computer application, finance, service, etc. In support of the stated mission, all graduates of the Industrial Engineering program will have the following:

l  Well-founded knowledge of natural science, human study and social science, familiar with the background and culture related to automobile industry;

l  A good command of manufacturing technology of modern auto to enable them to undertake engineering technology project related with auto manufacturing;

l  A good command of operation management technology of auto manufacturing system to enable them to do basic scientific research, technological development, cost-effectiveness analysis and manufacturing operation management;

l  Basic theories of system engineering and ability of plan, design, analysis, evaluation and improvement to enable them to coordinate the internal system circumstance and external relationship;

l  A good command of English, strong computer engineering applications abilities, ability of document retrieval and data inquiry.
